The Portuguese Society for Humane Education (SPEdH) is sponsoring this International Conference of Alternatives to Animal Experimentation in Portugal in January. The aim of the conference is to promote dialogue on 3R policies, specifically alternatives to animal testing such as the use of in vitro and in silico models. The program (which can be viewed by following the document link above) includes keynote presentations by Professor Emeritus Marc Bekoff and Professor Horst Spielmann. The Portuguese Society for Humane Education (SPEdH) is proud to present the II International Conference of Alternatives to Animal Experimentation, to be held in at the ForumPicoas building, in Lisbon on the 8th and 9th of May 2015.
The aim of this Conference is to promote the debate and sharing of information regarding the 3Rs policies on animal use, highlighting the replacement of animal models for suitable and ethical alternatives, such as in vitro and in silico models, as well as alternative experimental designs.
The program will include keynotes sessions, state of the art lectures, and a poster session.
